Emotics

DescriptionEmotics is a RegTech company that analyzes engagement with online content. They combine browser analytics with facial recognition and micro-expression analysis to provide previously unavailable levels of insight into employee behavior with use cases ranging from compliance training to conduct surveillance. Emotics drives positive conduct in financial services through behavioural change. We provide a suite of analytics for online compliance training to ensure people actually do their online compliance training, they pay attention and they don't get somebody else to do it for them. The financial industry's reputation has been badly damaged, starting with the GFC and continuing with revelations of insider trading, market manipulation and money laundering. Financial institutions spend $7.4B a year on online training to reduce misconduct, but the top 50 banks still spend an average of $37B a year on fines. Clearly something is not working. Online compliance training is currently broken - people ignore the material, cheat on tests and get other people to login and do it for them. The core of the problem is that the content is not engaging. With Emotics, browser analytics highlight if learners click through quickly, skip videos or work on something else. Facial recognition verifies it's the right person doing the training, and micro-expression analysis ensures the person is present and paying attention. The data collected is then used to provide granular, objective feedback on engagement levels with training content, allowing for content evaluation, testing and optimisation. We help our clients to: -Identify and manage risk with online training -Evaluate and optimise their training content -Enhance reporting to board level and regulators
